India, July 7 -- (July 7): Indian stock markets continued their upward journey on Monday, July 6, with the benchmark indices ending higher for the fourth trading session in a row. Strong investor confidence, helped by the revival of the monsoon and fresh buying by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), supported the rally across the market. The BSE Sensex rose 521 points, or 0.67%, to close at 78,285, while the Nifty 50 gained 160 points, or 0.66%, to settle at 24,430. The positive trend was also visible in the broader market, as both mid-cap and small-cap indices finished the session with gains.
