India, July 21 -- Stock Market Today Live Updates: The Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened almost slightly lower on July 21, 2026, as investors remained cautious due to the rising US-Iran conflict and concerns over possible disruption to shipping in the Red Sea. The Nifty opened at 24,216.05, while the Sensex started at 77,649.63.

The Indian rupee also opened nearly unchanged at 96.41 against the US dollar, compared with its previous close of 96.45. At the same time, Brent crude oil was trading close to $89 per barrel. In the previous trading session, Indian stock markets closed lower because of worries over the Middle East crisis and domestic factors.
