India, June 8 -- Stock Market Today, Opening Bell: Indian equity markets began the week on a slightly weak note, kind of in line with the negative global mood. At the opening bell on June 8, the Sensex slipped by 803.13 points, or 1.08%, to 73,440.21, while the Nifty 50 shed 264.15 points, or 1.13%, to 23,102.55. It also slipped under that key 23,100 level, and you could say the tone stayed cautious. Market breadth stayed soft, with just 107 stocks ticking up against 310 declining shares, while 45 stocks were unchanged. Among the bigger drags on the Nifty were Hindalco Industries, TMPV, InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finance, and Shriram Finance.
