India, Sept. 3 -- Stock Market Holiday Tomorrow September 4: Janmashtami will bring a holiday atmosphere across several parts of India on Friday, September 4, but stock market investors will not get a trading break. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE will keep their equity and equity derivatives markets open as the festival does not appear on the exchanges' 2026 trading holiday calendars. Investors can therefore trade stocks and eligible derivatives during the normal Friday session.
