India, Aug. 14 -- The sports world is mourning the loss of a giant today. Stanley "Skip" Bertman, the legendary former LSU baseball coach and Athletic Director, has passed away at the age of 88. Bertman took his final breath peacefully at 1:12 a.m. on Friday, surrounded by his daughters at Baton Rouge General Hospital.
