India, June 22 -- Days of speculation over the induction of six rebel Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs into the Shinde-led fraction culminated on Monday, triggering a fresh political confrontation between the rival factions. The six Lok Sabha MPs formally joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Mumbai, marking the latest chapter in the split that began with the party's dramatic rebellion in 2022.
The MPs who crossed over are Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav, Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure, Omprakash Bhupalsingh Nimbalkar, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh and Nagesh Bapurao Patil Ashtikar.
