India, Oct. 11 -- Arthur Gea pulled off the biggest victory of his career at the Shanghai Masters on Sunday, knocking out world No. 4 Ben Shelton in the third round. The Frenchman delivered a composed performance against the American at the penultimate ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season, securing a place in the last 16 with a straight-sets win.

Making his debut against a Top 10 opponent, Gea showed impressive nerve in the crucial moments and held his ground through two closely contested sets. Both went to tie-breaks, but the Frenchman came out on top on each occasion, winning 7-6(5), 7-6(3) to complete a memorable upset and send Shelton out of the tournament.
