India, June 8 -- A religious conversion case in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district has sparked controversy after police arrested a woman and her father and registered a case against nine individuals. According to the reports, the case revolves around allegations that a 30-year-old man was lured into a relationship, converted to another religion under the pretext of marriage, and later blackmailed for financial gain. Police stated that the investigation is going on, and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused who were named in the FIR.
