SEBI Issues Work-From-Home Advisory for Staff Amid Energy Conservation Push by Narendra Modi
India, May 22 -- After Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the country to adopt energy conservation measures amid the prevailing geopolitical situation, market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued a temporary administrative advisory allowing select employees to work from home. The regulator has also postponed internal events that could lead to significant travel or hotel expenses for a period of eight weeks starting May 25, 2026.
According to reports, the advisory was issued on Thursday by SEBI's HR department. It stated that officers in Grades 'A' to 'C' will be permitted to work from home once a week on a rotational basis. Employees in Grade 'D' and above will continue attending the office physically on a regul...
