India, July 24 -- School Holiday Today (July 24): The IMD has forecasted rain in certain parts of the country leading to several states conducting an assessment of school functioning on July 24. Although a national holiday has not been declared, preventive measures have been taken in those districts experiencing excessive rainfall, floods and waterlogging.

Most schools in India are operating normally but, closures based on the district have been announced in Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir has extended their school holidays owing to bad weather conditions. The parents must check official information issued by the district only.
