India, Sept. 2 -- Saylor Hayes Case Latest Update: The parents of five-year-old Saylor Hayes have been arrested after the nonverbal child was found dead in South Carolina following an extensive search. John Herb Hayes III and Geordyn Nichole Hayes were arrested Tuesday evening in Carter County, Tennessee, after Saylor's body was recovered from the water near Pawleys Island, South Carolina, on August 31. Both parents face charges of unlawfully placing a child at risk and/or willfully abandoning a child in connection with their daughter's disappearance and death. Authorities said the couple will be extradited to Georgetown County, South Carolina, where the case will continue through the judicial process.
