India, Aug. 3 -- The US stock market witnessed a strong recovery as the S&P 500 climbed 78.16 points, or 1.04%, to 7,567.63, supported by broad-based buying across technology, communication services and industrial sectors.

Major companies including Meta Platforms, Boeing, Amazon, Intuitive Surgical and Microsoft led the gains, while stocks such as Eli Lilly, Occidental Petroleum, AbbVie, Texas Instruments and Broadcom declined.

The positive movement reflected improving investor sentiment as markets responded to favourable economic signals and renewed confidence in major US companies.
