India, Sept. 24 -- Samsung is planning a major architectural shake-up for its next-generation flagship, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, scheduled for an early 2027 release. Multiple industry reports and supply chain leaks from South Korea indicate that Samsung has placed initial component orders for Galaxy S27 Ultra mainboards configured for the upcoming in-house Exynos 2700 processor.

If finalized, this decision breaks a five-year gap since the Galaxy S22 Ultra-the last time an Ultra model featured an Exynos chip in select regions-marking a shift from the pure Qualcomm Snapdragon exclusivity the Ultra lineup enjoyed from 2023 through 2026.
