India, July 16 -- Comedian Samay Raina has joined a growing list of public figures expressing concern for activist Sonam Wangchuk who has now completed 19 days of his indefinite hunger strike at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

As Wangchuk's health continues to deteriorate, Raina appealed for dialogue while the Delhi High Court directed the government to ensure that all necessary medical intervention is provided to protect the activist's life.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Samay shared a picture of Wangchuk from the protest site and wrote, "Hoping and praying that he's okay and that this ends soon with dialogue :(."
