India, June 12 -- The legal tussle between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his Panvel farmhouse neighbour, Ketan Kakkad, has escalated back into the legal spotlight. The Bombay High Court strongly pulled up the landowner over his continuous online campaign against the actor, noting that access to digital platforms does not grant an open license to run a "trial by media."

A single-judge bench of Justice Sharmila Deshmukh strongly suggested that Kakkad consider deleting the controversial tweets, videos, and interviews containing direct allegations against Khan. The High Court has officially slated the next high-stakes hearing for July 6.
