India, July 26 -- The dangers facing commercial ships in the Black Sea have once again come into focus after a merchant vessel carrying four Indian nationals was struck at Ukraine's Port of Odesa. While two crew members have been confirmed safe, authorities are still trying to determine the whereabouts of the remaining two.

The incident comes just days after another deadly strike claimed the lives of Indian seafarers and has prompted India to intensify its warnings for citizens working on vessels operating in the conflict-hit Black Sea region.
