India, Sept. 18 -- Russia Ukraine War Latest News: Voting is currently underway for a high stakes parliamentary election in Russia. However, Ukraine's foreign ministry has claimed that the elections, the first in Russia since the war, bear 'no resemblance to democracy'.

In addition to mainland Russia, voting is also happening in the disputed Crimean peninsula as well as some parts of Ukraine, including the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
