India, Aug. 2 -- Russia Ukraine War Latest News: A cargo ship linked to Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom reportedly sank in the Black Sea after being struck during a Ukrainian attack, according to Russian officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said Ukrainian forces had targeted the vessel, although the circumstances of the attack have not been independently verified.

Rosatom said the Russian-flagged container ship Yanina was attacked overnight while sailing near the Russian port of Novorossiysk. The company said the vessel took on water after the strike and later sank. Russian officials claimed the ship was hit by two Ukrainian naval drones.
