India, Sept. 16 -- Russia has stepped up its aerial attacks on Ukraine, with strikes increasingly affecting infrastructure linked to civilian life, including energy facilities, transport networks, hospitals and commercial sites. The campaign comes as Moscow continues to invest heavily in its wartime production while Ukraine races to counter newer Russian weapons.

The latest phase of the conflict is also placing greater pressure on Ukraine's air-defence systems, particularly as Russia deploys newer jet-powered drones that are faster and more difficult to intercept than earlier models.
