India, June 1 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signalled an urgent push for a diplomatic path to end the four-year war with Russia, calling on world leaders to apply maximum pressure on the Kremlin to bring Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table before the onset of winter.

In an exclusive interview broadcast on Sunday, Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine's improved strategic position on the battlefield since late 2025 has created a narrow "window of opportunity" that Kyiv is eager to leverage for a potential peace deal.
