India, Aug. 2 -- At least 10 people were killed and dozens injured after Russia launched a major missile and drone attack on Kyiv and surrounding areas early on Saturday, prompting President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to renew appeals for more US Patriot interceptor missiles.

Zelenskiy said that Russia fired 35 missiles, including 27 ballistic missiles, along with 185 drones. Ukraine intercepted only one ballistic missile because it had run out of interceptor missiles for its US-made Patriot air defence systems.
