India, April 27 -- Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has responded to crude insults directed at her by a prominent Russian television presenter, saying that "these caricatures won't make us [Italy] change course" on the war in Ukraine. Prominent Russian journalist, Vladimir Solovyov, known for his harsh criticism and hardened rhetoric against the West, delivered blunt personal attacks on Meloni after she held a meeting with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Rome.
Speaking on the talk show on Vesti FM radio in Russian and the Italian language, Solovyov, known as a mouthpiece for the Kremlin, labelled Meloni "a fascist," accusing her of betraying US President Donald Trump.
