India, Aug. 26 -- Roger Federer made an emotional return to Arthur Ashe Stadium on Tuesday, stepping onto the US Open court for the first time since 2019. The five-time US Open champion, who retired from professional tennis in 2022, received a huge ovation before beating longtime rival Andy Roddick 6-3 in a one-set exhibition match.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner then teamed up with John McEnroe in doubles, where they defeated Andre Agassi and Roddick 7-5. The night brought together four tennis icons, giving fans at Flushing Meadows a rare chance to watch some of the sport's biggest names share the court again.
