India, June 20 -- Rhea Kapoor has found herself at the centre of a jewellery theft case after diamond-studded earrings worth Rs 1.35 crore reportedly went missing during a trip to New York for the Met Gala. The filmmaker and stylist had rented the luxury pieces from two Mumbai-based jewellers for the high-profile fashion event.

However, by the time her team reached New York, the earrings had allegedly vanished, prompting a police investigation back in Mumbai.
