India, July 2 -- More than 20 lakh medical aspirants waiting for the NEET UG 2026 result may not have to wait much longer. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has indicated that it plans to declare the re-NEET UG results by July 20, following the completion of the answer key review process. The re-examination was conducted on June 21 after the May 3 exam was cancelled over an alleged paper leak.

While thousands of objections are currently under scrutiny, officials say the evaluation is progressing quickly and have assured students that the MBBS academic session will begin on schedule, with counselling expected to start soon after the results are announced.
