India, May 15 -- Less than a year since mega-star Amitabh Bachchan made news for his investment in Ayodhya, now it's actor Ranbir Kapoor who has done something similar by buying a piece of land worth Rs.3.31 crore in the holy city. The actor, who is set to star in the role of Lord Ram in filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated movie 'Ramayana', has bought a prime piece of land in Ayodhya.

This shows that his interest in the city does not only stem from an investment point of view but also from an emotional point of view due to its importance as a tourist site after the construction of Ram Mandir.
