India, Sept. 29 -- Rajkummar Rao-starrer Shahid is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Hansal Mehta's acclaimed 2013 biographical drama is finally out on the internet 13 years after its theatrical release. The film won Rajkummar Rao the National Film Award for Best Actor and Hansal Mehta the Best Director honour at the 61st National Film Awards.

Shahid is based on the life of Mumbai lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi, who was assassinated in 2010. It follows his journey from a troubled youth to a criminal lawyer who takes up the cases of people accused under terror laws.
