India, Sept. 21 -- Pali Mayor Election Result 2026 Live: A mayoral election in Pali has produced a result that looks very different from the ward-level verdict. The Congress entered the contest as the largest group in the 65-member Pali Municipal Corporation with 29 councillors, while the BJP had 21 and independents had 15.

Yet when councillors voted for the mayor, BJP candidate Namita Bubakia secured 33 votes and won the post.

The result turned the spotlight on the second stage of Rajasthan's urban local body elections, where the party with the most councillors does not necessarily get its candidate elected mayor. In Pali, the final vote count showed just how sharply the mayoral contest diverged from the original ward results.
