India, Sept. 15 -- Former England international Raheem Sterling has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving following a single-vehicle crash on the M3 in Hampshire earlier this year. The 31-year-old appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court after the Lamborghini incident on May 28, with police confirming that no other vehicles were involved and nobody was injured.
Sterling also admitted possessing nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. The case adds an off-field setback to a difficult period in the former Manchester City and Chelsea winger's career.
