India, April 2 -- Raghav Chadha Removed from Rajya Sabha: In a surprising development in Parliament on Thursday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) moved to remove Raghav Chadha from his post as the party's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, India's Upper House of Parliament.

The party formally communicated the change to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, along with a request that Chadha should not be allotted speaking time from AAP's quota during sessions. The decision also included nominating Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, as Chadha's successor in the deputy leader role. Mittal's appointment is expected to be formalised soon.
