India, July 25 -- Two Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoon fighter jets were dispatched to escort a Qatar Airways passenger plane flying from Doha to Manchester Airport after raising alarms with the United Kingdom (UK) civil aviation authorities on Friday, July 24. The QRA mission was launched while the aircraft was flying through UK airspace, and the jets intercepted the aircraft over Nottingham. According to the latest updates, no casualties or injuries have been reported before the landing in Manchester. However, the exact reason for activating the alert is yet to be officially determined.
