India, June 20 -- A year on from that flashpoint interview with Max Verstappen, Sky Sports presenter Rachel Brookes has spoken about the wave of abuse that followed. Brookes, one of Formula 1's regular broadcast faces, had questioned Verstappen after his controversial collision with George Russell at the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix, where the Red Bull driver was later penalised and eventually admitted he had made a mistake.

The backlash, though, went far beyond the interview itself.
