India, Oct. 25 -- PV Sindhu is set for a major test as she takes on South Korea's World No. 1 An Se-young in the women's singles final of the 2026 French Open badminton tournament in Paris. The Indian shuttler secured her place in the final after a hard-fought three-game victory over Japan's Hina Akechi, winning 21-10, 20-22, 21-16 in a 73-minute semifinal. The result marks Sindhu's maiden French Open final appearance and her second BWF Super 750 final of the season, following her title-winning campaign at the Japan Open in July. The two-time Olympic medallist will now look to carry that momentum into the title clash and add another major trophy to her collection.
