India, Aug. 23 -- There seems to be a little bit of confusion about the date of Sawan Putrada Ekadashi either being on August 23 or August 24. According to the current Panchang, Smarta Putrada Ekadashi Vrat will be observed on August 23, 2026, Sunday. But, Ekadashi Tithi extends until early morning on August 24 and thus, some calendars show August 24, especially the Vaishnava Ekadashi.

The Ekadashi Tithi starts from around 2:00 AM on August 23 and ends at around 4:18 AM on August 24 according to the current Indian Panchang calculations. August 24 will be the date for the Ekadashi parana as well.
