India, May 29 -- Punjab Municipal Election Results LIVE Updates: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) delivered a massive performance in the Punjab Municipal Elections 2026, securing a dominant lead across urban local bodies and strengthening its political position ahead of the Assembly elections next year.

As counting progressed across Punjab on Friday, AAP crossed the 690-seat mark out of 1,897 wards contested in 102 civic bodies. The strong showing triggered celebrations at party offices across the state, where supporters gathered with drums, sweets and victory rallies.

The results are being viewed as a major endorsement of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government and the party's urban governance strategy in Punjab.
