India, Aug. 20 -- Punjab Bandh Tomorrow (21 August): Punjab is all set to witness a statewide bandh on 21st August 2026, called by the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha demanding the release of Sikh prisoners, commonly known as "Bandi Singhs". Bandh has been called for 7 hours between 7 am and 2 pm while the call has been supported by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and other organizations. The bandh follows an August 15 clash between protestors and police near the Chandigarh-Mohali border in which water cannons and tear gas were used to disperse protestors.
