India, May 3 -- There is significant tension among BJP office-bearers and ministers of the Union government regarding the election results in five states. The source of this tension lies in the major changes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to implement-at any moment-within both his own ministerial team and the BJP's central organizational structure.

Following the elections, the Prime Minister's primary agenda has now shifted to effecting changes within both the party organization and the government. The fear of losing their positions is currently haunting a majority of Union ministers and party office-bearers. Speculation is that these changes could extend to the state level as well.
