India, June 6 -- On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM), where members discussed measures to strengthen India's economic growth in the middle of rising global uncertainties. Most importantly, the meeting comes at a time where tensions in West Asia, particularly the ongoing conflict with Iran, have given rise to concerns over energy security, trade routes, inflation as well as global economic stability.

Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) is an independent body which advises the Government of India on economic and allied matters. The council comprises a chairman, 3 full-time members and 11 part-time members.
