India, May 4 -- Defending Champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s IPL 2026 campaign has faced a major setback as their explosive opener Phil Salt officially returned to the United Kingdom (UK) for medical scans. Salt, who has already missed RCB's last three fixtures against the Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals, is seeking specialist advice for a persistent finger injury. The 29-year-old sustained the injury to his left hand while attempting a diving stop near the boundary during the second innings against Delhi Capitals on April 18.
