India, June 17 -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has scrapped its traditional central contract system to keep pace with the demands of modern-day cricket. In a joint press briefing held in Lahore, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and white-ball head coach Mike Hesson announced a major structural shift. Instead of grading players using the old, rigid A, B, C, and D hierarchy, the board has launched a specialization-based framework divided into four distinct tracks.
