PBKS Batter Shashank Singh, Retired IPS Father Booked in Assault Case After Cook's Complaint; Cricketer Denies Allegations
India, June 30 -- Punjab Kings all-rounder Shashank Singh and his father, retired IPS officer Shailesh Singh, have been booked by Bhopal Police following allegations of assault and verbal abuse made by their newly appointed cook, Vipendra Singh Tomar. A third accused, the family's driver, has also been named in the case.
The FIR was registered at Ratibad Police Station under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges related to using obscene language, voluntarily causing simple hurt and acting with common intent. The complaint was filed by Rewa native Vipendra Singh Tomar, who had joined the Singh family's residence on Neelbad-Mendori Road as a private cook on June 25.
