India, May 24 -- Fast moving political developments in Karnataka have once again given rise to speculation whether there was going to be a change of leadership in the state and whether the Congress high command shall be able to keep its promise regarding the power sharing arrangement arrived at during the time of the swearing in of the government.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has completed three years in office, six months more than what had initially been agreed upon, is reluctant to hand over power to his deputy D.K. Shivakumar. On the other hand, Shivakumar is getting restless and is mounting pressure on the central leadership to honour its commitment.
