India, Oct. 1 -- Pakistan and Bangladesh will square off in a high-voltage first semifinal of the Men's T20 cricket tournament at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Thursday, October 1.

With an assured medal and a direct berth in the gold medal match on the line, both subcontinental outfits face an early morning knockout battle at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin.

The winner of this clash will advance to the final on October 3 to take on either India or Sri Lanka, while the losing team will head to the bronze medal playoff.

Both sides made it to the final four after rain washed out their respective quarterfinal ties on Wednesday, qualifying on the back of their superior ICC Men's T20 team rankings.
