India, April 3 -- Pakistan is currently experiencing a severe energy crisis due to a sharp increase in fuel prices, which are touching record highs due to disruptions in global oil prices owing to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East region. The government of Pakistan has increased fuel prices by a large margin, causing petrol rates to touch nearly 460 PKR per liter, whereas diesel rates have risen by nearly 55%. This indicates a severe blow to the already fragile economy of Pakistan, which largely depends on imports.
