India, June 23 -- Artificial Intelligence is changing the dynamics of how companies operate and helping them to improve efficiency and automate routine tasks. However, the same is creating uncertainty among employees. One of the examples is Oracle, which has reduced its workforce significantly as part of its AI-driven transformation.

According to Oracle's latest annual report, the company has laid off around 21,000 employees across the world during fiscal 2026. Resultantly, the company's workforce has been reduced by 13 per cent, from around 162,000 employees to 141,000 as of May 31, 2026.
