India, June 24 -- Political pressure mounted on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday as both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress demanded his resignation over the controversy surrounding a purported video allegedly depicting the desecration of Sikh Gurus' photographs and the subsequent arrest of two individuals accused of fabricating a forensic report.

The controversy intensified after Haryana Police arrested two men for allegedly creating a fake forensic report that claimed the viral video involving the Punjab Chief Minister was fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI). Investigators have alleged that the accused received Rs.10 lakh from Punjab government officials to prepare the report.
