India, June 1 -- The filmmakers of the popular Malayalam movie Officer On Duty are facing legal action after an IT professional based in Ernakulam accused them of using his personal phone number in the movie without his permission.

According to the complaint, his number was flashed on the screen in a crucial part of the movie which resulted in him receiving numerous calls and messages from unknown people for many months. The matter has since been referred to the police for further investigation by a Kerala court.

Court Orders Preliminary Police Enquiry
