India, Sept. 27 -- With Pitru Paksha beginning on 27 September and concluding with Sarva Pitru Amavasya on 10 October, the window for a possible Union Cabinet expansion or reshuffle is effectively closed until then. The political window for such an exercise is expected to open from 11 October and could extend until the last week of November, before Parliament's Winter Session is likely to begin. There is no formal rule preventing a Cabinet reshuffle during Pitru Paksha, but the traditional calendar, considered as inauspicious, has historically been a factor in the timing of major political decisions.
