India, June 1 -- Malaysia has become one of the latest countries to crack down on children's access to social media, enforcing a new law that prohibits those under the age of 16 from owning social media accounts. The regulation, which went into effect on June 1, is set to strengthen online safety and protect young users from dangerous digital content.
