India, Aug. 7 -- The Indian stock market remained under pressure through Friday's mid-session, with the Nifty 50 down 90.30 points, or 0.37%, at 24,545.70 as of 12:30 pm, while the Sensex fell 465.94 points, or 0.59%, to 78,488.82. By 1 pm, the Sensex was down 464.83 points (0.59%) at 78,489.93, while the Nifty declined 82.45 points (0.33%) to 24,553.55. On the BSE, 3,888 stocks were traded, with 1,875 advancing, 1,767 declining and 246 unchanged. Meanwhile, 115 stocks hit 52-week highs, while 110 stocks were locked in lower circuits compared with 98 in upper circuits, reflecting a cautious and mixed market mood.
